"Cottage by the river"
As I boated past this lovely setting one early morning, for some strange reason an old memory of a school lecture popped up - Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs! Maybe it was that simple pyramid(ish) shape of the little cottage, but it did get me thinking that sometimes a simple roof over your head, in a place like this, with a mind unburdened by the demons we all accumulate like precious collectables is all you really need to self actualize.
Of course, Henry David Thoreau said it all much better in ‘Walden’! But I would like to think he would have appreciated this photograph!
