"Footprints, three wild pigs"
I was following these camel tracks in the desert to see where they would lead. Dawn was breaking, and I thought the tracks themselves would make a nice composition. I set up my tripod and was getting my settings dialled in when I realised I was being watched! My every move was being scrutinized by three wild pigs, who stood there as if carved from stone. What gave them away was the occasional flick of a tail.
They are barely visible in the picture, but if you look closely, towards the left of centre, you can see the little guys between the shrubs. They stood that way for the entire duration of the shot, and once I began to wind up, they went about their merry way again.
I’d like to think that they were the custodians of this beautiful land, just making sure the trespasser meant no harm and was merely attempting to document their beautiful home. I don’t pray often, but I did say a silent prayer then, asking that the land would remain theirs, unspoiled and unchanged, for generations to come.
Photograph specifications
Printed on Hahnemühle Photorag 308 archival quality 100 percent cotton paper. The print will have a white border on all sides to facilitate easy handling. The photograph will be shipped rolled, in a tube.
Care and handling
Please handle the paper with the included gloves to avoid transfer of oils or dirt onto the print.
It has already been coated with Hahnemuhle protective spray, please do not add any further coating.
Use only archival/museum grade materials for framing and mounting.
Ensure that the hanging system is robust and easy to mount.
Please choose the glass carefully. Some glasses have UV protection and some do not.Please ensure that your chosen wall space does not receive direct beams of sunlight. Direct sunlight, over a period of time will fade your print.
The paper and inks used to make your print are of the highest archival standards. If taken care of, it is rated to last for centuries.
