"Lighthouse, breakwater"
This photograph is a bit unusual for me. I normally veer towards landscapes that shaped more by nature than by man, but there was something about this place that made me visit it multiple times. It was the monsoon season, which meant that it was either raining, or about to rain. The man-made breakwater extends far out into the Laccadive Sea. As you walk towards the end, the wind becomes fiercely persistent, and the rain pelts down hard, and the occasional angry wave crashes over the rocks, and you momentarily taste the salt. For a landlubber like me, it is exciting to be this far out in the sea, especially when the weather is rough. I made a few photographs in this place, but this I think was the one I love the best.
